Not down and out.. just plugging away

It has been a month since my last blog entry… I have been working on wrapping up the track “My World Your Fantasy“, and experimenting with various microphone treatments for the acoustic guitar part. What has proven to eat up my time is “thinking” of various counter melodies to the main rhythm and bass line.

This can really get you lost if you are not careful, almost taking you away from the song you are focused on finishing… a very fine line to be careful with.

For now, I am using a rough vocal guide track to keep my tracking and editing of the main rhythm section in check, but soon I will take off the instrument hat, and let it rip for the final vocal take… Tube mic, this mic or that mic…
